We all tied on the skates tonight and went to our arena for the public skate night. Lots of fun!

Guess who got a new cookbook for Christmas? Yep..Christmas Elf aka my sistah- in- law Lisa. Barefoot Contessa is her favourite and I think she believes I need to be a better cook. So....here is the first of hopefully some new favourites.

The Ears Have Been Pierced!

I can't believe it but I broke down and said yes to the whole ear piercing thing. She kept telling me that she was ready and could do it. I have always told her that she had to be 12 and then we would go and get it done. Well...nope, I thought to celebrate her 7th..we will go to the mall and check it all out. Needless to say, she jumped in the chair and told the ladies she was ready. As I expected...no hesitation, no crying nothing. It was just Mom, telling her that she could change her mind no worries if she was not ready...well that didn't happen and as expected it was Mom who got misty.

My Girl is 7!

My girl is now 7....yikes it seems so much older than to say she is 6. Here she is on her special day.

A Birthday Party

The day is done! She is fast asleep and I am relishing the quiet.

Kaylin's party went off without a hitch and she was happy! Fun times, all her friends, cupcakes pizza & pop, presents too. What more can I birthday girl ask for?
