Long Day!

It was a long day yesterday but fun.

Dropped the kids off at school. Got to say hello to some parents that I don't get to see all the time, came home quickly threw a load of laundry into the machine, got the crock pot started with dinner and into the car all before 9:30 I had to be at a Career Fair for 10:00 in order to set up our booth. Talked to many many did I say many? people looking for employment. Thank goodness I was not alone. Our booth looked great and we met lots of interesting people. Yes, I know that guy looks just like they guy on our company tradeshow booth. It's him alright. Nice guy too!
Our give aways were a real hit as usual. Apparently Tire Pressure Checker Key Chains are highly sought after item! :-) We came home with none. Gonna have to order more before our next career fair next month.
After that I met up with the rest of my HR buddies to go see a hockey game in the company seats. The Canucks were playing the Colorado Avalanche. It was a great game until we blew the lead with 14 seconds to go oh and the shoot out too! :-(

Valentine's Day

Hope it was great for everyone. See the pretty surprise I woke up to Valentine's Day morning? They are beautiful. It was a full day that is for sure. Got the kids ready for school. Valentine's packed, classroom treats packed and then dropped at school. Off to work for a full day. I don't even remember what lunch was! Wanted to be at the passport office hoping to avoid a huge line up. Got a parking ticket, but finally made it to the counter. Crossing my fingers that the ugly mug shots my family had taken at Costco would be good enough. Yikes, we seriously look like criminals!!!
Who ever gets happy civil servants? I got a lucky break because they were all so friendly so, by the time I made it out of there it was 10mins to 8:00pm and I am an hour away from home. By the time I made it in the door, I was starved and ready for the covers. Oh well. The passports are being processed and will be in the mail at the end of the month.

The Bro Is In The House!

Yep...correcto. My brother has come to town.

Only for a few days, he breezes in to town for work. Usually once a year. Teaches the kids some dirty language, we stay up late, drink a little too much and then he is gone. Back to his family and every day life. Over to quickly before we all really get to enjoy his stay.
