ROASTING!!!!!

There are no other words to describe how uncomfortably hot is here in Poco!

Hate to complain considering all we usually get is rain and really had not see the sun in weeks. But, come on this is crazy. Perfectly sunny weekend but highs of 31 !

Find me some airconditioning!!!

My Grade 5 Graduate!

Here is my grad! Onwards now to middle school.
Today was the schools annual pancake breakfast for the graduating grade 5's and a small ceremony after. Here Brayden is being congratulated by our awesome principal and his teacher is just beside him looking on. Many thanks to my favourite buddy Lujza for taking these shots for me today!

Lazer Tag Birthday Party

So we held Brayden's belated party last weekend at Planet Lazer. We had 10 kids and they had a blast. Check out how sweaty they all look! Pizza, chips, pop and an ice cream cake. Who can ask for more? He had lots of fun with all his friends and Kaylin even got in on the action as well.

The Finished Project

After much work over the weekend, the Stephen Hawkings science project is DONE!! It was taken to school on Monday for the showing in the gym for all the school. Brayden said it went well and he had lots of people stop by to see his project and ask questions.

Gotta love those big end of the year school projects!

Kiss my baby for me!

Candy Bags and Work - In - Progress

The Year End Family Dance at the kids school is tomorrow night. We are making candy bags to be sold at the dance to raise money for the new playground. Who doesn't like a candy bag? They'll be a hit. So, Kaylin and I worked on those...the work - in - progress is Brayden's science project. His project is on Stephen Hawking. Here he is creating the "universe" as his background.

I just have to say.............

I love love love ANCHOVIES! Yes, this does seem random doesn't it and to boot...my third blog post of the night!

But I just made my lunch for tomorrow and it involves those salty little things! Nothing really too exciting - just spagetti noodles, hot pepper sprinkles, my beloved anchovies and a little bit (not much) of the good kind tomato sauce. Now if only I had some capers, I could throw them in too! Heated all up...yum yum!!

District Track Meet

Brayden participated in our school district track meet on Friday. It is a once a year thing and schools from our district put together teams to represent different events ie. high jump, long jump, running etc. It was held at Coquitlam Town Centre Sports Complex. This year he represented his school in Shot Put and Discus competitions.

He enjoys it...and likes the free day out of school too!

Here are a couple of shots of him at the meet. Thanks to my buddy Lujza for taking these for me!

It's June 1st!

The weather wasn't all that great today but the rain held off and that is all that counts. We decided to venture over to Rocky Point Park, Port Moody for part of the afternoon and had lunch at a cute little outdoor stand that sold french fries in the cones. Kaylin could get a hot dog so she was happy. Seems like summer when you get to eat outside.
We spent the rest of our time there searching for crabs....the minature kind. Determining which were girl crabs and which were boys. Want to know how to do it? Flip over a crab. Look at the shell and if there is an imprint that looks like a bee hive..she is a girl. If the shell has an imprint that looks like a lighthouse..well, you have a boy! It is so fun to go beachcombing and especially good to do on a Sunday. We really have to get out and do it more. I love exploring along the beach.
